Things to do on GOLD COAST CHARTER BOAT FISHING
Now that you've booked your gold coast charter boat fishing, it's time to find out what all you need to take with you on your trip. We provide:
•
A well-maintained deep-sea fishing gold coast boat.
•
Fishing tackle.
•
Plenty of bait for each trip.
That means you don't
have to go out and buy any of those things when planning on a deep sea day
fishing trips with us.
Clothing: Wear
protective clothing against sunlight, rain, or wind if necessary. We recommend
that you wear bright colored shirts like red, orange, blue, green, and yellow
for photographic purposes. (White is fine, but in bright sunshine, you don't
look good in your photos. (Black or grey shirts don't make good photos at all,
so don't expect them to turn out well.) It's okay to wear her bathing suit if
You want it. You won't get wet on our deep
sea fishing charters gold coast boat because we have an enclosed
living room with air conditioning. The rain shower may be the only way to get
soaked.
Hats and Shoes - You
can wear whatever shoes you like or even go barefoot. Just don't wear your
dirty cowboy boots or lawn mowing shoes; we'll hose them down before you board.
However, we urge that you wear pointed-toe shoes or sandals that are properly
fastened to your feet for safety reasons. Tennis shoes, high heels, hat (if
bald) and any clothing that protects your skin from the sun Flip-flops or
shower shoes are NOT the safest option and will often stick to the wet
platform, and when you step on, the centerpiece between the toes is often
snapped or broken. Shoes that have a toe and strap for healing work best. It's
OK to walk around barefoot, but be careful not to trip on fish fins or a stray
hook. I always recommend that people wear shoes that cover their toes at the
very least, but they are not needed.
Refrigerator, Food,
Drinks, Snacks: A "clean" small personal refrigerator 48 quarts or
less, food, beverages (your favorite adult beverage, "beers" must be
in cans). Your cooler should be clean, and you haven't been riding in the back
of your farm or work truck with grease or mud all over the place. Bring just a
more relaxed, please. We have limited space onboard, and typically a 48-quart
cooler is large enough to store your food and beverages. Some people remove the
cooler from the back of their work truck that is dirty, oily, greasy, or muddy.
Bring a clean cooler or wash it.
Please do not bring any
alcoholic beverages; this is not an alcohol-free cruise. Drunk people are a
pain to be around, and we don't enjoy being around them. Coolers for beer and
wine are OK. Only bring cans or plastic bottles if possible.
Bring WATER or FLUIDS
for the entire family. It's hot in the summer and early fall, and if you don't
drink enough water, you'll become dehydrated.
Basics: (optional) Hand
towel to clean your hands. (after baiting your hook). Our sailor does an
excellent job helping you bait your turn not to get too dirty. If you are
baiting your hooks, clean your hands after baiting your hook. In this way, you
will not stain oily or fishy baits on the handles of our rods. However, it
dries sticky and is very difficult to clean.
Sunscreen (to be
applied as directed) Be sure to apply RUB ON sunscreen before going deep sea
fishing. Avoid putting AEROSOL spray-on sunscreen because it spreads all over
the deck and creates a slip hazard when sprayed. Also, if you spray it inside
our cabin, it will spill and ruin our carpet. Would you please stick with the
old-fashioned rubbing lotion and avoid sprays?
Sunglasses are helpful
because there is a lot of light outside. However, I will ask you to remove your
sunglasses during photo shoots because your photos will look better when seeing
your eyes.
Medicines for motion
sickness: Some people get the prescribed patch and cut it in half to share one
with another member of the group.
WHAT
SHOULD BE LEFT BEHIND
Due to federal and
state fisheries regulations, catch limits, and seasons, many of the fish you
will catch cannot be captured and must be released. Please take as many fish as
you need for a few meals, but we don't rush you and go from one species to
another, trying to catch a limit. We don't hurry from one location to the next.
We take you fishing and try to keep your rod bent as much as possible.
